Angelwax Wins Prestigious ROCCO Award for Innovation & Technology
We have some wonderfully exciting news! We are incredibly proud to announce that Angelwax has been awarded the ROCCO Award for Innovation & Technology, sponsored by the University of the West of Scotland.
The award was presented at the 19th annual ROCCO Awards Ceremony, Renfrewshire’s largest black-tie business event, held on Friday 17th November 2023 at the beautiful Normandy Hotel. It was an remarkable night for the entire team not just because of our win but also the contagious community spirit.
A Night to Remember
The evening was a truly spectacular event with Renfrewshire Chamber of Commerce President Derek J McNab outlining exciting plans for local growth. There was also a very moving performance by the St Columba’s School Pipe Band welcoming guests on arrival, the night was magical from the get-go. As over 500 attendees gathered to celebrate the achievements of businesses across Renfrewshire, it was a bustling and lively evening, and we were honoured to be part of such a remarkable occasion.
Did you know that the Rocco Awards are now in their 19th year? This time around the prestigious award ceremony saw 17 exceptional winners crowned (one of which was Angelwax) and countless others recognised for all they do. For Angelwax, receiving the Innovation & Technology award was the highlight of the evening, it was thrilling to have our dedication to creating innovative products rewarded.
Proud Moment for Angelwax
Winning this award is a huge achievement for the entire Angelwax team, it reflects our ongoing commitment to developing industry-leading detailing products. We constantly strive to push boundaries, ensuring that each product we create meets the highest standards for both professional detailers and car enthusiasts alike, being recognised for our innovation is a testament to the hard work and creativity that drives us every day.
Entertainment & Charity Support
Beyond the awards it was a fantastic evening of entertainment and giving back to the local community. Comedy and household favourite, Fred MacAulay kept us all in high spirits throughout the night delivering some wonderfully funny punchlines, while the incredible performance from the Scottish Opera had everyone mesmerised.
It was also a huge honor to support the ROCCO raffle, which raised a whopping £9,000 for St Vincent’s Hospice and the Provost’s Charity Fund with said funds helping local charities, including the Clothed in Love Project which are charities close to our hearts.
Local Craftsmanship
One of our personal highlights of the ROCCO Awards was the beautifully designed and locally crafted trophies. Fun fact, they were designed and made right here in Renfrewshire by J.G.B. Steelcraft and Scotland’s Bravest Manufacturing Company. It was beyond special to hold a (well won) trophy in our hands, knowing that it was locally made in our community - we are now proudly displaying the craftsmanship of J.G.B Steelcraft in our headquarters for all to see.
Looking Forward
Beyond celebrating this incredible win, we are more motivated than ever to continue developing cutting-edge products for the detailing industry. The recognition from the ROCCO Award for Innovation & Technology, will push us forward, forging innovation, and spurring us on to deliver more high-quality, effective (and hopefully more award winning) solutions to the vehicle care world in 2024 and beyond.
